about

'Talk" will re released for sale both here and through our website for CD mail orders on the 1st of February. Meanwhile, enjoy the free streaming!

Welcome to our third album of original compositions, inspired by people, places, situations, and our hopes for the future. Through the bafflingly wonderful language of music, we set out to explore the subtlety and complexity of communication. Themes; topics; thoughts; lines of enquiry; monologues and dialogues – all full of nuance and personality.

Since our last album, we’ve continued to grow as a band, diversifying our conversations and vocabulary by pushing each other to develop musically and technically. We have enjoyed this process and hope you too enjoy these musical trialogues.

about

The String Contingent Australia

The String Contingent have reached ‘the upper echelon of instrumental exploration, arrangement, composition and performance’ (Tony Hillier, Rhythms Magazine). Their music ‘brings to mind the bluegrass records of Yo-Yo Ma and Edgar Meyer … with elements of Bach, Kronos Quartet and sometimes a splash of Philip Glass ... they are incredibly skilled ...’ (Ulf Torstensson, Lira Magazine). ... more
