Opuscule means ‘little opus’ — a musical work of small size. I wrote it on guitar as a short solo piece for Graham at the end of 2009, before Chris encouraged me to arrange it for the trio more recently. The piece was written without specific meaning, which is the beauty of instrumental
music: ambiguity engages the imagination.
